1925: TRENTON "SUCCEED WITH TRENTON" PROGRAM
The full page ad from the "BUSINESSES-TRENTON" folder in the Hamilton Library Local History Collection is an interesting cross sectional view of who the "movers and shakers" were during the roaring twnetys whem Trenton was an industrial city. On a personal note, I was on intimate terms with the Wiley Hughes Supply Company during my years as a bearing and power transmission specialist. The Rowley Bakery on the corner of South Olden and Hobart Avenues was a very popular bakery back in the day. It was here that I first encountered the famous Trenton "cream stick." Unfortunately, with a graphic as large as a full page, the web hosting limit is at the max for enlarging. This results in the "small print" being virtually undreadable to those of us who are optically challenged. However, the display ads are quite legible.
