I was not familiar with this corner even back in my early teen years. However, the incredible detail on this segmented R.C. Maxwell photo with the Tattersall "just phone 8201" on the building along with the vintage car make this a completely charming photo. I will leave it to our auto expert Ray to identify that auto.

I was born just a block north of this site on Fall St. between Bloomsbury, and Warren.
I can remember this site, and it would be on the south side of Bridge, It looks like Ziggy Smolinski's wood yar behind it.
Great photos create fond memories.

Hi Tom, I don't remember this ESSO station, but I believe, from looking at the photo, it is on the south side of Bridge. The Pennsylvania RR electric lines are visible behind the station, and they are further to the south. I'm wondering about the street that appears to dead end behind the gas station. Possibly just an alley. The car at the pumps, is a 1933 Chevrolet Eagle. The car getting a wash, in the background, is either a 1937 or 1938 Nash. Need to see the grille, to be sure. The bodies are nearly identical. Correct me if I'm wrong, but is the attendant lighting up a cigarette? The driver of the Chevy, may be having second thoughts, about alighting from the car.
