Zorn's Record Shop! How many visitors who were teenagers back then didn't make at least one visit to that noted shop which was so popular during the 40's and 50's? Zorn's had 'em all: Decca, RCA, Columbia, and countless other labels in 78 rpm and those newfangled 45 rpm records with the huge spindle and that little adapter that would allow playing on a conventional phonograph. Note the public rest room in the back ground looking toward East State Street. The Trenton of yesteryear: an irretrievable era! Open this incredible photo in a new window, enlarge it and take a walk over to Zorn's. If you are driving pull into Gadsby's parking lot and enjoy a stroll up South Montgomery Street in Trenton, 1949.
