1700'S: VERY EARLY TRENTON STREETS

Had our town fathers widened the streets shown in the above map, the parking situation in downtown Trenton would have been much improved. The above map came from a 1922 news clipping which was pasted on a very faded scrapbook page, scanned hand colored and restored to its former black and white glory. What would ultimately become Princeton Avenue is shown as Beake's Lane; a road that lead to the sizeable Beake's estate.
