Here's a "roaring twenties" view of a portion of the 100 block of South Broad Street approaching Lafayette and State and Broad Street. It's fascinating to see the store fronts of many old time and no longer in existence businesses.
Under what circumstances were all of these Maxwell photos taken? Were they to be published or being taken for a matter of record? It certainly seems odd, but wonderful, that someone would have been taking such top quality photos in the still-early days of cameras for no particular reason.
