CIRCA 1910-1912 FIVE POINTS IN MERCERVILLE

What a great photo! Don't miss the "Mercerville Road House" on the extreme right. This photo had a bit of "noise" and other imperfections, but with a bit of "tl
c," we have a nice view of downtown Mercerville in the first decade of the 20th century.

Hi Tom.....Is that what they called motels in 1910, Road House? It seems that they had electric from the looks of those poles and the trolley. I'm surprised that the trolleys went out that far. Did that Road House turn out to be Gropp's Bar? Just curious. Regards.

One more thing, Tom. Are those posts in front of the Road House used to park horses?

I would assume that they were hitching posts, but I can't say as a matter of fact. As to the electric poles, I would guess that the area was electrified in the early 20th century. I would guess that date of this photo is about 1909 or 1910.
