1947: REMEMBER GEORGE CASE SPORTING GOODS?

Yes, we "old timers" remember the sporting goods store that "Georgie" Case established after finishing a distinguished career with the American League Washington Senators. Like Willie Mays and Al Downing, George Case was a local baseball hero who made it in "the bigs," as we used to say.

.....We all followed George throughout his big league days and I saw him often at his store. He was outstanding during his days at Trenton High and during his play on the local level. I recall a very fast race horse was named after him during his days with the Washington Senators. Regards.
