1938: STREET VIEW PROSPECT, SPRING AND W. HANOVER STS.

How I do love these views of the Trenton of many years ago! This photo was taken from across Prospect Street, looking toward the intersoections of Spring and West Hanover Streets in the area of the now defunct "Spring Street Widows' Home."

I was really trying to remember this view as it was so long ago in the late forties and early fifties. This was a way of going to and from Mercer Hospital from the Burg. My Dad used this route when visiting my Mom and siblings shortly after they were born.

Spring Sst. is first on hte left, W. Hanover is next, and Prospect oontinues over the D & R Canal feeder at right, correct?

Talk about a time machine.

We went to Prospect Street Pres. Church to the left of Spring St. in the photo. It's a lovely, old photo that bring back many wonderful memories.
