1934: MATTHEW MALONEY-ENGINE 4 TRENTON FD

This blog carries the sub-title, "Local History With A Personal Touch," and the above graphic is one of the reasons. As I peruse the millions of newspaper pages, I often come across names with which I am very familiar. Such is the case with Mr. Maloney, whom I am fairly certain is the father of my St. Anthony buddies during my time there, Jim and Bill Maloney of Villa Park.

Thank you, Tom, for the pleasant surprise of finding a picture of my dear late father on your web site. The date of the article pre-dates my birth by eleven months. Thanks for your wonderful site. I remember with great fondness our annual meetings on the boardwalk at St. Alfonso Retreat House. Wish my broters were here to share this discovery. God Bless.
