1914: Riverside Avenue Real Estate

When I saw this real estate ad from the Atterbury Tract Realty company, I wondered if the 1914 buyers of those beautiful homes knew of the floods which would plague the area so many times in the future.

I used to swim in front of these homes. They face the Water Power. Across the Water Power is Stacy Park. To my knowledge, these homes have never been flooded.

I love your blog. Keep it up.

Umfortunately, the John Fitch Way was built here. It should have been where the D and R Canal is. The Hiltonia residents killed that proposal. So now the Trenton waterfront is but a memory.

Lived in Trenton from 1945-1975 at which time I moved to Florida and finally retired from the fire department as Deputy Fire Chief. These pictures sure make you home sick. You have done a great job and alot of work. Thank You.
